Campaign Central

The Annual United Way Campaign raises funds to support programs and services that benefit the residents of Western Crawford County throughout the year.

This year's campaign kicks off August, 22nd 2012!

On behalf of all of those who will benefit from your generous donation. . .

"Make A Difference (Every) Day"

People give generously each year to make our annual campaign a success.  We appreciate and depend upon their support.  But, the annual campaign alone is not enough to keep pace with the growing needs of our community.  Many generous people are helping to build another source of funding to support our mission - the United Way of Western Crawford County Endowment Fund.  Gifts to the fund are permanently invested so we will have their financial support forever.  Each year we receive some money from the fund to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community to advance the common good.

Consider making arrangements in your will or estate plan for a bequest to the endowment.  You can gift any amount and in almost any form (cash, bonds, stocks or appreciated assets and property).  The fund may also be designated beneficiary (in whole or in part) of a life insurance policy, individual retirement account (IRA) or charitable trust. Your bequest can help make every day into "Make A Difference Day".

The endowment fund is managed by the Crawford Heritage Community Foundation.  For more information phone them at 814-336-5206 or visit them on-line at

The following language may be used to include the United Way of Western Crawford County Endowment Fund in your will.  We encourage our donors to work with their attorneys in making their wills and defining their bequest.  Contact the Crawford Heritage Community Foundation for a list of attorneys with estate planning experience.

I give, devise and bequeath _____________________________________ (describe dollar amount, property to be given, or proportion of your residuary estate) to the Crawford Heritage Community Foundation, a not-for-profit corporation located in Meadville, Pennsylvania, 16335, to be added to the United Way of Western Crawford County Endowment Fund, a component fund of the Crawford Heritage Community Foundation, and I direct that this bequest become part of this Fund.
